Our first Disney run was this past February 2015, and we were in no way properly prepared so here is what to expect. RunDisney Expo: The expo was a little overwhelming but definitely worth it. There is a lot to look at and free items, so take your time! We were too excited and wanted to get into the parks as soon as we could, but my next race we will be there longer. They had everything from a runners pouch for your phone, keys, etc.to the RunDisney signature shoes! Before the Expo you go to pick up your race bib , t shirt, and a small bag of goodies. BE WARNED! If you are going with a male, the t shirts may be a not so manly color, and he might be upset. But you'll understand because he is doing a princess themed race with you. Morning of the race: STRETCH! Many people have a role model or a person they look up to and admire. Most of the time its a parent, grandparent, or older sibling. And while I do love my parents, grandparents, and older brother I have one person that I look up to a lot. It is a 41 year old man named Micheal who dresses up in drag and then goes by the name Pandora Boxx. Growing up in theater I was exposed to a lot of the LGBT community without even realizing it, then when my brother came out when I was 18, I decided I wanted to become more involved with promoting the community and loving others (in general). I came across the show “Ru Pauls Drag Race” (A show about who will become the next drag superstar) on Netflix and was mesmerized as how the drag queens transformed from everyday men to beautiful women. I thought all the queens were great but I really felt like I connected with a blond haired, spunky, sassy, and hilarious queen named Pandora.
