Phil Writes About Magic: Cube Additions 01/31/2017
I added five cards to my cube today and wanted to talk a little about each one of them. A link to my cube can be found here: Cube. I am still working on getting it up to a 360 cube.
Lightning Bolt
Mimic Vat
Mimic Vat fits in a lot of decks. Having the power to make tokens of, almost, your choice of creatures is pretty fun. I always enjoy using this card in other cubes so I wanted to put it in mine, as well.
Sakura-Tribe Elder
Speaking of Wildfire and Mimic Vat, Sakura-Tribe Elder fit into the Wildfire deck to help ramp up to the lands need to cast the spell, and if you really wanted to you could keep pumping out tokens with your Mimic Vat and building your land count.
Stay tuned for more cube inclusions!
Thank you,
Philip

Kari Zev, Skyship Raider
I am really excited about this lady and her monkey friend. Being a 2 casting 1/3 in red is not the best, but I like that she has first strike and menace to help make up for the 1 power. The fact that she makes another attacker pushes her over the top for me.Lightning Bolt
Lightning Bolt is one of the best cards around. I don't think anybody that knows Magic needs this one to be explained.
Wildfire
Wildfire is a fun archetype that I want to try to include in my cube. Building up to, hopefully, wipe your opponent's board while keeping your stronger creatures sounds like something I would like to build.
