MTG Pack: Dragons of Tarkir #8

Each time I open a pack, I want to write a little bit about each card to make sure that I think about each one individually as it relates to prismatic. When I'm done writing, I am going to add the non-rare or foil cards to my "Phil Plus Syd" prismatic deck. Dragon-Scarred Bear

One green and two generic for a 3/2 green bear with Formidable. The Formidable allows it to be regenerated for one green and one generic. A 3/2 for three is not the worst, but I would hope to get something more. Being able to regenerate him if you have eight or more power is good, too. He should do fine in prismatic, but I do not expect him to be spectracular.

Segmented Krotiq

One green and five generic for a 6/5 green insect with Megamorph for one green and six generic. I like this creature a lot. It is a big beater that should help clear up the battlefield after a few attacks. I am looking forward to playing this creature in the future.



Skywise Teachings

Ukud Cobra

One black and three generic for a 2/5 black snake with deathtouch. I like this slithery guy. He attacks, but he is also a removal spell. It can make combat awkward for your opponent, which is always fun.



Tapestry of the Ages

Four generic for an artifact that you can pay two generic and tap to draw a card if you have cast a noncreature spell this turn. This card feels narrow to me, and I am not sure how useful it will be. Drawing a card is always good, though. Time will tell how good it is in prismatic.

Our first Disney run was this past February 2015, and we were in no way properly prepared so here is what to expect.  RunDisney Expo:   The expo was a little overwhelming but definitely worth it. #Blessed

#blessed There are certain things that are blessings. A new baby in the family, a sick loved one feeling better, or even going out to lunch with a friend you haven't seen in a while. But a pair of new shoes when you already have a ton is not a blessing. A new kitchen table or a new TV is not a blessing. Growing up in a church I honestly rarely heard the words “blessing” or “blessed”. When someone says they are “blessed they are basically saying “God is shinning down on me to get this material thing and I'm going to post on Facebook about it.” Instead what they should be saying is “I'm so thankful to have this new TV” or “I am proud of myself for working hard and saving up for my new TV.” I was scrolling down my news feed and saw that a girl who competed in a vocal competition, got a very high rating. She posted “I'm very blessed to have revived a high rate at the competition this past weekend.” No. That's not a blessing. Maybe she could have said she was blesse

Phil Writes About Sims 3: Forensic Specialist: Dynamic DNA Profiler

Here  is a link to the list of all Lifetime Wishes For this Lifetime wish, a sim needs to gets to level ten of the Police career path (Forensics Branch). Carl Smith decided to set out on this journey. Once he got a job at the Police Station, he set off on a quest to get in shape. Working out in front of an old TV can only get you so far, though.  After working this way up the ranks, Carl found he needed more skills like painting, logic, and writing reports. He managed to scrap enough funds together to purchase an easel. This led to selling painting to buy a chessboard and a computer.  Years of grinding away at these skills finally resulted in Carl reaching his goal of Dynamic DNA Profiler!
